Fatimid Cal: A Dual Calendar Application for Hijri and Gregorian Calendar

Fatimid Cal is a dual calendar application that includes the Fatimid Hijri calendar and the Gregorian calendar. This app allows users to record appointments and events using either the Hijri or Gregorian date and receive reminders before the specified date. It also provides a list of Islamic occasions based on the Hijri calendar and displays the corresponding Gregorian dates for these events.

The Fatimid calendar is based on the calculation of the beginnings of the Arabic months. It is a traditional calendar where odd months always consist of 30 days, while even months always have 29 days, except for the twelfth month, Dhu al-Hijjah, which can be 30 days in a leap year. The Fatimid calendar is attributed to Imam Jaffer Al-Sadiq and was used during the Fatimid era in Egypt under the Fatimid Caliphs.
